These are used for 4WD recovery, you can connect the hole towards the top of the snatch block onto a tree with a chain. Then coming from your winch you put the rope through the pulley part and loop it back onto your truck. Gives your truck twice as much strength to get your vehicle out of that hard spot. Can also be used in industrial sites when needing to move anything across the factory floor etc.
